Dr Frey had been my optometrist for several years. I went to see him with impaired vision. He was unable to tell me I had a cataract in my eye, which was quickly picked up when I sought a second opinion. When I requested to be reimbursed for the eye exam he refused. I got a very " sorry about your luck" attitude which I did not feel was very professional. No longer my optometrist.
While competent, not sure he really has your eyes as his main priority over always promoting procedures not covered by OHIP. The prominent question will always be "how will you be paying for this". Other Doctors in the area will definitely give you a better feeling, but hey, decide for yourself.
Dr Frey and his associates are true professionals in every sense of the word. They have assessed and monitored our eyes for nearly 2 decades and always been attentive to any special needs. We see them regularly and buy our eyewear there as they always stand behind them. Paul is a welcome addition to the team as he has great experience and is easy to deal with.
