I saw him more than a decade ago. What impressed me the most in my evaluation was Dr Chang did not “ Jump” to doing back surgery. I was working as a Federal Detention Officer and he told me that “ You are still mobile” Pain won’t kill you. He exuded Wisdom with Experience. Now I’m 65 and I’m going to see him again. Dr. Chang is the BEST of the BEST! He is wisely conservative when it comes to surgical need, even when meeting him personally years prior to my acute injury had said I was the type of patient he prefers never to do surgery upon. I’m so grateful he was willing to perform my surgery despite the increased risk. With that injury, despite my genetic condition, he agreed and advised the life saving surgery.
