I saw Dr. Sohmer over a period of 6 months before heading to surgery, and he was excellent--he loves what he does, and he's very good at it. Although, as he says, he loves doing surgery, he took a conservative approach to my shoulder injury and only came to the recommendation of surgery as a last option. I found him to be very easygoing, professional, respectful, and willing to answer all of my questions. During a busy ER evening, my ER doctor consulted Dr Sohmer. He urgently X-rayed my ankle, suggest next day surgery, and possibly saved me from a miserable future of Ankle Pain. Thank you

If you like being lied to he’s the right doctor for you! Told me I was put on the list for knee replacement surgery and there was a 6 month waiting list. Turns out I had to wait 6 months to see his associate ( the surgeon who is to do the surgery) and the waiting list is 12 months.

Excellent surgeon! I was very nervous about requiring surgery after a tibia plateau fracture. Dr. Sohmor is brief and to the point, but was always kind and reassuring through the healing process. I'm so grateful for his hard work and skillset. His
