On June 21 2024 Rimmer performed a total knee replacement on my left leg. 8 weeks to the day I was able to surf standing up. In May 2025 he replaced my right hip. Again, back surfing in 6 weeks. The key was to follow his advice to the letter. Of course there was post operative pain, but the benefits of the operation, to have a pain free Hip and knee , good knee range of motion and increasing leg strength have given me a new lease of life. Dr Rimmer offers a comprehensive caring with a thorough no nonsense approach to his patients.
Dr Rimmer has performed a number of arthroscopes and two knee replacements on me over the past 10 years. Each and everyone was a success. Dr Rimmer is a fine Orthopaedic Surgeon and he tells it like it is, and I like that. If you are looking for a smooth bedside manner and a dodgy result, go to someonelse!
This doctor is the most arrogant, condescending & rude individual I’ve ever met. He’s all about who pays him. You line his pockets and he’ll take your side. If not, then you’re a goner. Avoid him at all costs. If your insurer sends you to him… DON’T GO!!! Ask for someone else… who? ANYONE ELSE except for this guy. He’s a disgrace to the profession. He won’t care about you at all, he just does what he’s told to protect his food source!!! STEER CLEAR!!!
Dr Rimmer did an outstanding job on my knee. It has never felt better. He was very informative and told me exactly what to expect after the surgery and also recommended an excellent physiotherapist to assist with rehabilitation. I would highly recommend him to anyone who requires a good orthopaedic surgeon. Definitely no complaints from me. Rick Broadsmith
