this was my 1st and last visit with this doctor. he is arrogant and has absolutely no bedside manner. does not want to listen to what i have to say about my injury, which was the onset of my pain, but rather blame my pain on arthritis. when my mri specifically stated i had a torn meniscus... he does not make any sense! rude, and does not listen. would tell anyone...go see someone else! he does not know how to even shake a woman's hand.
Following knee surgery, there was NO follow up. Even when contacting the office to explain that there is still something not right in my knee, no additional help was given. 3 months later and now have been told I have sciatica.
He is an excellent surgeon, I am fortunate that I chose Dr. Nystrom five stars are way under he's work he deserves ten.
Waited over 30 minutes past my appointment time to see Dr. Sephen Nystrom. However, they did seem busy since I could hear him & other staff talking to or about patients. When I did finally see him, I felt very rushed & was given little opportunity to discuss what I was experiencing. He struck me as hesitant, uncertain & not the most caring. I do not feel comfortable returning to this provider & I wouldn't recommend him to others.
Dr. Nystrom rushed through every appointment and was annoyed if he had to answer questions. Had a rt tkr and was a horrible experience from day one. He was more interested in patting himself on the back. I think he expected a standing ovation. Would only deal with his PA after ist visit after surgery. I wouldn't let him care for me anymore. Thankfully I had to transfer care to another hospital due to insurance switch. Had my other knee replaced there. Night and day difference.
Referred by retiring physician. Unexpectedly told need knee replacement when responded favorably told no we weren’t going to proceed but would try injections. I indicated I wanted to first check with my daughter and son. He indicated the infection was already. Had to ask him to give the numbing agent a chance to work prior to performing the injection.
My husband needed a total hip replacement and decided to have a consult with Dr. Stephen Nystrom. He felt Dr. Nystrom not only gave him a lot of time to discuss his situation, he felt Dr. Nystrom was extremely patient with him. He felt he gained the knowledge he needed to make the decision to have the surgery performed. He received a great deal of attention from the staff which gave him confidence and reduced the stress pre-surgery can cause. The staff at the hospital were professional and very reassuring to my husband and t... read more
Dr Nystrom is an excellent surgeon with the best bedside manner I have ever experienced. He operated on both of my shoulders (rotator cuff) and on both of my knees (partial replacements). I would highly recommend Dr. Nystrom. Unfortunately for me, he moved to Oshkosh Wisconsin.
Dr. Nystrom performed hip surgery on me in Oct 2017, I have had nothing but problems since, his answer, it's your back, once I found out my back is fine, he says sorry we can't do anything for you. Then off to Wisconsin
