I would really never chosen this surgeon. He is the worst thing it ever happened to me and my family. If you want somebody that cares for you and your family, go for another one. There are many good ones out there who will take the time to make your life easier while you are under conditions like this.
This doctor is more interested in the number of surgeries he performs monthly (30) NOT in the patients themselves. His lack of concern is evident in that he did NOT provide timely help or information to assist in my recovery. It was necessary for me (in the thralls of pain) to do my own research. Dr Jeff Cohen is the best Doctor. He saved my life. He tells you what to expect after the operation. I had ulcerative colitis and it became a disaster. He took very good care of me. Not only do I recommend him, I would call you a fool if you don't put your problem in his hand. I thank God we crossed paths. My name is Darrell Stover. I am still his patient. I highly recommend Dr.Jeffery S. Cohen as a surgeon in his field. After my 2-1/2 year battle with GIST Cancer, under his care, and a very successful tumor resection surgery earlier this year, I am living cancer free. I have never worked with a more personable doctor. His entire staff also deserves an honorable mentioned award.
My sister was just diagnosed with colon cancer. She was referred to Dr. Cohen and, from the very beginning, he was there for her AND her family. His bedside manner is superfluous. He kept her informed of everything that was going to happen and what to expect next. Others have complained that he is NOT there for them or his patient. We did not find that to be true. Dr. Cohen is an amazing person. He's helped me through my GI issues. I started seeing Dr. Cohen in my mid 20s with ulcerative coilitis. I had a colostomy bag at the time. Just seeing him regularly did wonders for both my health and my self esteem. Over the course of my treatment with him, I've had 2 surgeries and am now free of the bag. He continues to schedule check ups to make sure everything is functioning properly. my only complaint is that everynow and then, theres a wait to see him. I had rectal surgery 25 years earlier and never was relieved of my problem until Dr. Grablowsky five years ago performed my surgery. I have not had any problem since. Excellent doctor, superior bedside manner, and very professional. He is never reluctant to answer any medical questions.
Would not recommend. Very poor patient experience. And from one professional doctor to another...Dr Cohen needs much improvement when it comes to patient care.
