Dr. Barnes performed umbilical hernia repair surgery on me. From the first moment my wife and I met with him I knew that he was the right choice for me. His comical bedside manner helped put me ease while he explained what had occurred and what he proposed to do to fix my hernia. He thoughtfully answered all questions and methodically presented an overview of the entire pre-and postop process. I am very thankful for his surgical prowess and highly recommend him! Excellent! Dr. Barnes performed a inguinal hernia repair for me. He did not do the initial repair. I was one of the lucky few who had a reoccurrence. He was very informative about the procedure and what I could expect post surgery. This really helped me through the healing process. Also great bedside manner. I would highly recommend his exceptional skill set to anyone.
He did amazing with my husbands hernia the first time! But my husband developed a hiatal hernia and he supposedly referred him to a GI doctor! 6 weeks later and still no referral contact despite my husband calling and going to his office multiple times! They haven’t turned in FMLA paperwork and now my husband is being threatened by his job to be fired!!! Dr. Barnes was my surgeon for a gallbladder removal when I was 14 weeks pregnant, and he took absolute care of me and kept my baby's safety as highest priority. The surgery went great and I'm so thankful for his professionalism and support during such a difficult time.

I first met Dr. Barnes in 2006 in the ED for an infected appendix that other doctors ignored. Since then he has performed multiple surgeries on me, always made sure that I was comfortable & always found time to fit me in. I couldn’t ask for a better surgeon to perform general surgeries with. He is beyond phenomenal at what he does including his bedside manner.
