Dr. Behrman saved my life. He is an awesome person that cares about his patients. He is compassionate and committed to the recovery of his patients. There are no words to express my appreciation for Dr. Behrman.
Dr. Behrman operated on my dad in 1995. My dad had one of the biggest hernia's in his groin area that the Doctors here in Memphis had never seen. They called Dr. Behrman. He told our family it would be a challenge but that he would do all he could with God to save my dad. This Doctor is amazing. Then, 15 years later, I had pancreatic issues. He saved my life. He was confident with me certain he could help me and made me feel better. He was honest and he is faith based he prayed with me which meant so much to me. He’s a Godsend and capable of doing his job. Glad I was referred to him so glad I listened to him. Really smart caring individual with a passion for excellence. His nurses are trained well and know him very well. Grateful to have met him. He’s an excellent surgeon and I trust him with my life.
Excellent surgeon with great bedside manners. Did a sigmoid resection on my husband. We would choose him again if needed. We felt like we were in great hands and fully trusted him.
He operated on me 16 years ago. Bowel resection. I can honestly say- he is the only reason I am alive today. Great doctor.
My husband and I were so impressed with Dr. Behrman. He lived up to his excellent reputation in every way. In addition to being an talented surgeon, he is kind and considerate of the family members as well as his patient. He has the special quality of really listening when you speak to him.

Arrogant and closed minded! Thinks he knows everything and has nothing else to learn. Very dangerous! Sadly he is a professor at UT. I feel very sorry for his students! He may be surgically skilled, but his intellect is definitely lacking... He would ask me questions, then never let me finish answering. He had his mind made up before we even started talking about my cancer. He made me cry and then told me to quit sobbing because he couldn't hear my heart or chest sounds. Horrible bedside manner!
Dr. Behrman performed a Whipple Procedure on me, while he's tough and pushes you to your limits for recovery, he's the best. He has true care and concern for his patients and is wonderful at making you feel at ease no matter how complicated your situation. I would highly recommend Dr. Behrman as he goes above and beyond his duties for his patients.
