I’ve been going to see Dr Kowalyk for 29 years and he knows an awful lot about the Endocrine system.
Terrible bedside manor. Terrible listener. Typed while I was talking vs. listening. He disagreed with the treatment for my type of hyperthyroidism that 4 other MD's (1 thryoid surgeon, my friend who's a neurologist, my PCP and 1 other endocrinologist (friend of PCP) & PA endo asst had already agreed on as Type 2 AIT. The 1st thing out of his mouth was, "I disagree with all of them." I asked him about his diagnosis. His reply, "What does it matter? All that matters is to make you better." Dr. Kowalyk has been a good doctor for 30+ years to a family member. The office staff, however, has been awful. Authorizations come in and they sit for weeks. Scripts are never sent in a timely manner. People go without their medical devices, medicine, etc. because of their lack of motivation to serve the patients, who clearly have serious medical needs.
