Dr. Kowalyk has been a good doctor for 30+ years to a family member. The office staff, however, has been awful. Authorizations come in and they sit for weeks. Scripts are never sent in a timely manner. People go without their medical devices, medicine, etc. because of their lack of motivation to serve the patients, who clearly have serious medical needs. Terrible bedside manor. Terrible listener. Typed while I was talking vs. listening. He disagreed with the treatment for my type of hyperthyroidism that 4 other MD's (1 thryoid surgeon, my friend who's a neurologist, my PCP and 1 other endocrinologist (friend of PCP) had already agreed on as Type 2 AIT. The 1st thing out of his mouth was, "I disagree with all of them." I asked him about his diagnosis. His reply, "What does it matter? All that matters is to make you better." Went to see Dr Kowalyk with an undetectable < .010 Hyperthyroidism tsh level because it was so low. Took a month for them to get back to me after each bloodwork taken only later to be diagnosed with severe Hypothyroidism tsh level over 25. I've been so sick for over a year now. To top it off, they said they would charge me a large fee if I didn't cancel future appointments on time. Then I couldn't get a person to answer their phone.
Amy, the receptionist, has a terrible attitude. No explanations, just sarcasm. No manners either. Actually glad I'm unable to attend this facility and am seeking else where.
