I immediately liked Dr S at our first meeting pre-op. She’s relaxed, friendly, takes her time, answers questions and never seemed rushed. I was immediately impressed! My surgery yesterday and my experience at the Tucson Surgery Center was fantastic too. Thank you Dr.Schluender!!!!
DR. SCHLUENDER IS DIRECT AND HONES AND DOESN'T MINCE WORDS. WHAT I LIKE MOST IS THAT SHE NEVER GAVE UP ON ME WITH MY ATTITUDE.
Dr schluender is an excellent surgeon. She is very experienced and cares about her patients. I am so thankful to dr schluender and her team to perform my surgery in a expeditious manner. Highly recommend Dr Schluender.
Dr. Schluender is unkind and uncaring. She talks fast and is always in a rush. When I had problems post op she made me feel like they were my fault. She yelled at me and my kind husband who is a physician. No empathy or concern for pain control. I was never given a post op follow up appointment at their office. Dr. Schluender is the meanest doctor I have ever been to in my 67 years. I know surgeons are not known for being nice, but this narcissist takes the cake!
Dr Schluender is very knowledgeable and was able to give my husband a good outcome even when sutures from robotic surgery did not hold - she is very great!
My wife Helga, had an appointment with Dr. Schluender today. Up until now, my wife felt there was no hope left after being seen by two gastrologist's and an emergency room visit. As I sat with my wife, Dr. Schluender in what seemed like the first five minutes of the appointment, gave us hope! Dr. Schluender's professionalism and obvious endless knowledge not only comforted us, but, more importantly, gave my wife hope and the will to fight to get through her current ordeal. 7 years ago Dr. Schleuder had the courage and wisdom to recommend I see another surgeon. She knew her team's limits and stated them with honesty. She felt my cancer tumor was too complicated for a Tucson surgeon. I am forever grateful that I went to Memorial Sloan Kettering for a second opinion. They recommended waiting to see if the tumor would continue to shrink. I never had surgery and my rectum, spine, and pelvis are intact today. I am forever grateful that she controlled her ego and gave me honest truth.
Dr. Schluender is an outstanding surgeon, however follow up and after surgery care left a lot to be desired. I had problems after surgery that were not expected; prior to surgery the possible side affects were not discussed in detail. I was told I would have watery stools and would be able to go back to work in 3 to 4 weeks. It had now been six months and I have not fully recovered. Dr Schluender helped me through several surgeries with her kindness,skill and expertise. I have no doubt that she is the best surgeon in her field. In the office her staff is friendly and efficient and rarely do you wait more than a few minutes.
