I am very blessed to have had Dr. Tao perform my retinal detachment surgery. Being clinically depressed, I was extremely anxious when he told me what takes place during this procedure. Dr. Tao explained everything in easy to understand terminology, expressed empathy and did his best to reassure me what to expect. Although the vision in my right eye is still about 95% blind, my eye doctor believes that after about 8 to 12 weeks, my sight should return to what it was before.
