I've worked with several optometrists in Boston, and Dr. Coen is by far the best. She is extremely thoughtful when recommending possible solutions, applies state of the art equipment (unlike most!), and explains the rationales behind each hypothesis regarding how challenging situations might be addressed - while also standing ready to adjust the prescription if the initial hypothesis wasn't best. I had so much trouble with my prescription a couple of years ago--the whole left side of my vision was distorted with my glasses. Two eye doctors tried to fix it and couldn't and basically suggested it was in my head. I used my old prescription until I went to Dr. Coen. When the same thing happened when I picked up my new glasses, she saw me again right away and figured out the problem within ten minutes. I had a very mixed experience with Dr. Stacy Coen, tainted at the end by an add-on fee that wasn't mentioned earlier in my exam. I came in January for a routine eye exam, which resulted in a prescription (which I was okay with). I didn't have time for the full eye dilation so she mentioned I could come back to finish the rest of the exam another time. She truly cares and is such a wonderful person. Dr. Coen and her staff are professional and kind. I can’t wait to get my eyes checked again next year!
Dr. Coen is an extremely thorough and efficient optometrist. She works quickly and does not keep you waiting but she performs a very comprehensive exam and takes the time to make sure all your questions are answers.
I visited Dr. Coen's office today for a comprehensive eye exam and found her and her staff to be kind, courteous, very well organized, and professional. Dr. Coen seems to think faster than light travels and she explained everything well and with humor.. It was a pleasure to go there.
