After reading reviews I was absolutely terrified I was going to have a bad experience. From entering the office i was treated well. Receptionist lovely. As for all the negative reviews I found Dr Simon Journeaux to be friendly, thorough and fair. I was examined professionally, informed about the process and all went extremely well for me. My advice is to not read the reviews as everyone's case is different.
If you've been sent here by an insurance company, you should request another Doctor. I had a work injury claim for a frozen shoulder and he diagnosed that it was not work related. Long legal battle but got it overturned in my favour. Dodgy. Did a review at the time (2 years ago) but my review and other negative reviews have mysteriously disappeared.
Are you happy to allow a doctor, specialist surgeon or medical assessment consultant to mock and ridicule you? If the answer is NO then it may be wise to stay clear of Dr Simon Journeaux. I suffered a near fatal motorcycle accident that required a Clavicle rebuild (6 breaks that required wiring), a right shoulder rebuild (shattered and required a Titanium pin), and a right hip total replacement. My experience with Dr.Journeaux was very good, I have been on workcover for 19 months now and saw Dr.Journeaux after about 14 months, I had lots going on with my ankle with torn tendons/ligaments and had no luck with surgeons that I had seen, he knew exactly what was needed and reported back to workcover what should happen and thanks to him I have now had surgery to replace 3 completely torn ligaments my ankle and another cut and shut to the neighbouring ligament, I’m still in the recovery rehab phase and doing very well, I ... read more
