I had seen Dr Patel for symptom relief from dry eye disease. She began offering IPL treatments at $500 per treatment. I researched and found another provider who charges half the price, but is one hour's drive away. Dr. Patel, upon learning I had received IPL elsewhere, refused to continue treating me for dry eye disease. Never had I been dismissed from a practice.
I love Dr Shreya Patel and highly recommend her.
If the doctor is moving the office soon, and current office has no proper hygiene facility for patients to try on contact lens , DO NOT ALLOW contact lenses fitting appointments! I couldn't wash my hands when trying contact lens, and the assistant didn't bother to tell me that I can use their restroom (to wash my hands) until I said I really need to wash my hands (because I felt so uncomfortable with my eyes and got blurry after trying a few times). A suggestion for Dr. Patel- set up cool mist humidifiers for your dry eye patients coming for appointments. Offer moisture chamber glasses.
IPL costs twice as much from Dr. Patel as it does elsewhere in CT. $500 per treatment from someone who is not an MD.
my eye condition is long standing, and causes me worry. Dr. Patel does not offer much encouragement, merely goes through the motions
Dr. Patel was very thorough, took time to sit with me, and went over my options for eye care. I would highly recommend! Very personalized care!
