Dr. Canapp was so so helpful! I just recently found out my dachshund Louie has ivdd; he met with me via a telemedicine appt. (he is in Maryland and California and I live in Illinois!) and literally went over every last detail of Louie's prognosis from his current condition, what progress he's made to recommended conservative treatment vs surgery, what options we have, including recommended supplements, rehab, etc. He's so knowledgeable and easy to talk to and explains everything so well and makes it easy to understand. Dr Canapp has offices in California and Maryland. I live in Chicago so it is not feasible to have an in-person consult. He offers telehealth visits which was extremely informative. We were able to go over all our records, images and concerns. Because we were able to get everything but the physical aspect done via zoom, I will only have to drive out once for the treatment itself and his administrative assistant made it so so easy to book around my schedule. I am so excited to get my dog back to 100%
Dr. Canapp was so kind and informative. He went over everything that we will need to do when we meet in person, as well as everything we MIGHT need to do. He had lots of videos to share of similar procedures. I am completely confident that if anyone can get my Breeze back to competing, it will be him. He even gave me advice on another patient of mine.
I can't thank Dr. Canapp and his team enough for the care and attention to detail that went in to our introductory teleconference call regarding my dog, Buckle Up. Dr. Canapp was thoroughly prepared to discuss Buckle's case and was able to formulate a plan of care moving forward to bring Buckle back to full health and to live the active life that he loves. He was able to explain complicated medical terms and concepts in an easily understood manner. We are very much looking forward to the next steps.
Dr. Sherman Canaap provided me with an excellent and clear path forward that is right for my dog. His ability to converse on the technical side of vet medicine in a way that a lay person can understand is just wonderful!
