Dr. Shand and Charleston Oncology are fantastic. She is a caring provider and a good listener. I’ve always felt that I received fantastic care and communication between all support and office staff is also very good. I had an Oncologist in another state who I loved dearly. That is a very difficult provider to replace when you move. Once you’ve had cancer, it is such an important relationship. I am so incredibly happy that I found Dr. Shand and highly recommend her to anybody who needs an oncologist
Dr. Shand is a very friendly, compassionate and articulate medical professional. Excellent bedside manner! Always look forward to her feedback and explanation of my personal journey. This goes true for the entire welcoming staff who greets you with a smile and any needed assistance. My recent 3 hour visit for an iron infusion for my anemia disease was treated by nurses who went beyond expectations to make me feel comfortable. A warm blanket, a soft pillow for my neck...even got some chocolates!
I had to wait in the exam room for more than an hour for my doctor. Why move me to the exam room when the doctor is not available. Let me wait in the reception area please.
