Rude receptionist. I called in asking to schedule an appointment before I saw my wrist specialist and she retorted “Well why do you need to make two doctor visits?” I told her because I need a referral. I also had an appointed with my dermatologist that ended up being a day before I could get her referral. I called the insurance company and they said they would take a retro dated referral up to 21 days after the appointment. I’d gone to this office my entire life, and my mom + sisters did too. Dr. Norris was my provider. Not only was it like pulling teeth to try and get an appointment, there were many, many times I’d wait an hour (WITH A SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT!) to even get taken to the back. Dr. Norris herself wasn’t entirely the problem.. she is gentle & smart but is stuck in old medicine (doesn’t try new methods) and doesn’t usually have contingency plans for her patients health plan. Dr. Norris is always willing to take the time to discuss whatever issues I'm having. She has a problem solving approach so I know I can always go back to her if something isn't working. I find the staff very friendly. Sometimes I have to wait for my appointment, but I know it is because she is taking time to give another patient the same quality care she gives me.
The women at the front desk have awful attitudes. Always very negative and grumpy which made me never want to go to the doctor.
