This review is to help inform women (and others) if this Dr is a good fit. I am a woman and a doctor. I went to see Dr. Thorn on the referral of 2 other physicians due to their concerns (couldn't get into the one they recommended). However, after seeing him I would not recommend him for some patients, especially if it a 'female' issue. His demeanor was almost arrogant and I had the sense that he could not be bothered by my female issues of over 2 years. Infectious disease doctors deal with death so I understand my issues wou... read more

Dr. Thorn was concise and explained all my options. I never felt rushed, and he spent the appropriate amount of time during the office visit. Efficient office staff. Very friendly.

Doctor Thorne is friendly, caring, and compassionate. The thing that I especially liked about him was the fact that he explains everything in a language that anyone can understand. He makes sure that all of your questions are answered before he walks away. He is an excellent provider and I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Thorn is friendly warm and caring, explaining his recommendations for treatment clearly and precisely in layman terms, as well as, the reasoning behind the treatment plan. The staff are friendly and smiling as they welcome you.

He had no helpful, or up-to-date knowledge of the infectious disease for which I had seen him. He seemed more concerned that I get my yearly flu shot to protect others, than in addressing my current medical symptoms for the visit. He is friendly, but it was a waste of my time and money.

I was first pleasantly introduced to Dr. Thorn during a hospital stay where he was not only efficient, knowledgeable, but also curious. It's that curiosity that makes a great ID doctor... it creates a drive to solve the patient's disease puzzle. I was impressed that he worked seamlessly with my surgeon and later, in his practice during follow up. He and his colleagues never miss a beat and I am fortunate to have been in their care.

Rude, arrogant, condescending, sexist, a jerk -- would not do infectious disease workup for recurrent of known past infectious diseases, despite clinical symptoms of chronic night sweats, weight loss, severe headaches, chills -- and when I left town, knowing I could not get appropriate care from Dr. Thorne, and had blood test for Bartonella that was positive (the specific infectious disease I was concerned I was disabled from), he did not bother to inform me of the positive results.
