I was sent to Dr. Kelman from my local optometrist when she realized I had a severe papilledema, I was presenting with double vision and went in for an eye exam. My appointment started with the field of vision test so Dr. Kelman could determine our course of action was correct and he then told me I would need surgery immediately. It was a WILD whirlwind of a couple of days but he found a surgeon to do the procedure for me, I went to Georgetown for the surgery, and four weeks later had my follow up with Dr. K. I was nervous, but Dr. Kelman put me at ease and has a great bedside manner.
Where to begin, ** BEWARE, EQUIPMENT IS NOT CLEANED BETWEEN PATIENTS *** the office is filthy, waiting area has stains all over the carpet, holes in the wall that were attempted to be covered by wallpaper. The one person reception staff is abrupt when you set your appointment clearly very flustered as she is overwhelmed with her responsibilities. Dr. Kelman is wonderful. His concern for each person shows as he goes above and beyond in his care of each patient. He is brilliant and the best around. Worth every second you may wait for him... you will get his full undivided attention and never feel rushed.
Exceptional doctor. His concern for his patients is obvious!
I am very please with Dr Kelman, my son has seen him, 3 time from the age of 8-19 and Very happy, with his services , and would definitely recommenced his expertise to anyone in search for answers with their eyes!! thank you as always Dr. Kelman
