Just had a laminectomy and spinal fusion performed by Dr. Esmende. He has has been excellent. Great bedside manners, thorough, treated me and with respect. Also, never pushed surgery first. I went through 2 yrs. of PT and injections. He talked me through it all. It wasn't until I told him I was ready for surgery that he then explained very patiently what it would entail. Highly recommend him.
The third time seeing him and he thought I was a new patient. He went from saying I had issues he had concern with, to the last appointment not knowing who I was and saying I’m at the wrong doctor, that I need a pain specialist. Not recommended.
If I could give Dr. Esmende and his team 10 stars, I absolutely would. After having battled terrible pain for over 10 years and every treatment, injection, etc. imaginable, I was so relieved when Dr. Esmende said there was a surgery that could relieve my pain and give me a new lease on life. At only 26 and having been dealing with this daily pain since high school, you have no idea how relieved I was to hear that.
