I have been a Patient of Dr. Costley’s for almost 20 years now. I’m sorry to the people who had to wait so long. When he was in the Rhinebeck office yes it took hours to get in. That is not his fault. He provides his patients with 1 on 1 care. He listens to what you have to say before he puts his thoughts into it all. Even though I was on time for my appointment, I had a wait of almost two hours to see Dr. Costley. He spent about 15 minutes with me, mostly trying to talk me into going to a specialist in his group, despite the fact that I told him I already was a patient of another physician, elsewhere. I may as well have not made an appointment at all, for all the good it did me.
Dr. Costley listens and takes the time to understand patients' needs--treats patients with respect. He explains everything thoroughly and answers questions. The best doctor ever.

After waiting almost 90 minutes for an appointment, Dr. Costley spent about 15 minutes with me - rapidly going through the same questions that I had already answered on the office questionnaire and by a nurse. He is a kind, caring and passionate physician who takes time with his patients. He listens and makes you feel comfortable discussing issues. He is nit afraid to refer to specialists and offers telemedicine appointments, if requested. I am so thankful to have him as my GP.
I've been seeing Dr. Costley for over 10 years. He takes the time with patients and truly cares about their well being. I would (and have) highly recommend him to someone that is looking for a doctor that they can trust and that cares about their health, both physical and mental.
When he first started out he took his time and treated his patients like the old fashioned doctors. He made sure to listen and give the proper diagnosis. Now he has students in the exam room, he is on the computer as you are describing the symptoms and only gives a 15 minute visit. He does not prescribe the correct medicine or follow up. He has sold out to the big corporate team. Be careful of him and your health.
