I’m 6 weeks post surgery and feeling great! Dr. Laker has a great smile when you meet him. He explains everything well and ask if you have questions. He made hospital visit and ensured I understood my post-op care. Follow-up office visit he showed the same caring mannerisms. His nurse and administrative assistant were both friendly and professional. Questions and concerns were addressed immediately.I’ve already recommended him and his practice to family and friends.

Dr Laker and his staff were excellent, the surgery went well, and I had more pain than I expected post-op after ten days, I am looking forward to the post-operative check-up. I highly recommend Dr Laker.

I unequivocally regard Dr. Laker as the best. His kindness, professionalism, and exceptional surgical skills made a significant impact. Throughout the process, he attentively listened to all my concerns. I underwent both Umbilical Hernia Repair and Gallbladder surgery under his care. Remarkably, I recovered within a week and was completely pain-free within 10 days. Nurse Kim promptly addressed every question I had. Without hesitation, I would highly recommend Dr. Laker.

I had the gastric sleeve done on 9/20/23. I traveled from New Jersey to Michigan for this surgery and I’m truly grateful I did ! Not only is he a terrific surgeon, but he walked me through everything step by step! His bedside manners are above and beyond amazing ! His staff is amazing as well. So if I had do again I would, only if Dr Laker is the surgeon!

Performed complex hernia surgery, robotic. Explained surgery well and detailed results in report. Excellent outcome. Mostly pain free after 3 days, fully recovered in about a week. So far hernia looks 100% repaired. Very responsive office (Nurse Kim), available for questions.

I did hours of research to find the best hernia surgeon in Michigan and resoundingly Dr. Scott Laker won the internet. So we chose him to do both of my husband’s hernia surgeries and we could not recommend him enough! We drove from across the state to see Dr. Laker and we would do it 1000x over again, he’s worth it. Very knowledgeable, compassionate, respectful an excellent surgeon! When comparing stories to other guys’ similar hernia surgeries, my husband’s recovery has been significantly better!

I don't write reviews yet I am excited to be writing this one. Dr. Laker changed my life. I had bariatric surgery and it went perfect. Prior to that he did an EDG to see if I had a Hiatal Hernia that needed repair. I did. I had at least 4 of these in the past yet no doctors suggested surgery. During the bariatric surgery, it took an hour but he repaired it. I had this lump of fat lower on my stomach, he asked, "Does it bother you?"
