After the long wait to finally see someone for my dermatological concern, Dr. Balin made me feel rushed, didn’t spend much time trying to understand my concerns, and only presented me with a harsh treatment option instead of a more typical first line treatment for my condition. I had to ask about what I read everywhere was the typical treatment and then that’s when he told me about it. I’m sure it’s effective but he didn’t seem to care about the side effects of his recommendation which were significant.

Dr Balin is excellent! The problem is up front.It’s hard making an appointment as they often don’t answer phone and have to leave message. Phone tag.

I had a terrible time at this dermatologist with Dr. Balin. I was referred here by my PCP. Dr. Balin looked at me for 5 minutes, remarked "I don't treat that kind of rosacea," and the visit was over. He then his office sent me a bill for $86, which was my portion of a $217 bill sent to insurance. I called to contest it given no services were actually provided, and they called my insurance to and found out that they had billed it incorrectly, and that I actually owed double that for the useless visit - ~$170.
