2015, Adventist Hospital, Portland, Oregon: the nurse involved in the delivery process attempted to administer pitocin despite my verbal and written wishes which were expressed several times. Thank God my husband asked what she was doing just before she injected it I to my drip IV. The nurse was about to administer it without even asking or mentioning it. Birth plan posted and all. Dr. Adkins pushed my crowning child back through the birth canal, and I had to push her out her a second time. My baby was born dark purple.
