The wait time is outrageous. Every visit it's always at least two hours past my scheduled appointment time before seeing the doctor. Unacceptable and time to find a new OBGYN.
I have been a patient of Dr. Carfagno's for the last eight years. I specifically picked this office because Dr. Carfagno is a sole practitioner. This means there is NO other doctor available if he has scheduled patients and needs to deliver a baby via natural or c-section. I was perfectly comfortable in knowing there would be times he may not be available during a routine appointment but he would be there during the birth of any children. Dr. Carfagno is great. His physician assistant is horrible. When I made my appointment and showed up I made a point of informing them NO LAB WORK. Dr. Cargano was unavailable and I had to see MaryAnn. I explained my financial situation to MaryAnn. She wanted a test done. She gave this line that there was a program to cover it or they would write it off. Thinking it would cost me nothing I said okay. I got a $298 bill. Staff pushed me into so many repetitive tests even after I told them I didn't want to they kept calling me and would try to scare me into having them by telling me different results than months prior. The worst staff I have ever seen. Honestly it bordered malpractice by altering reults to push more tests are so unethical
You will wait to see any good doctor. It is worth the wait. Compared to other offices the wait is average. No one else can compare. Dr. Carfagno is knowledgeable, compassionate, comforting, and professional. After I had a miscarriage and considered trying again to have a baby, he dedicated two separate appointments to speak with me about my personal struggle and emotional status. Do not visit this practice. Extremely uncomfortable experience. This appointment was in the Absecon office. I've heard after my appointment that the standard of care is better in Linwood. I am not sure if this is due to the socioeconomic status, but I will not be returning to this practice for any care. I arrived for my appointment as a new patient 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork. The staff was too distracted talking to each other and gossiping about patients to help me. Cant say enough about this doctor and his office staff. Not only is he knowledgable but caring and compassionate . He listened to all my sorted details and concerns. He addressed them with care and dignity! (Some were very private) Would highly recommend him and his practice. As a matter of fact, my mom , sister and best friend now go to him.
The staff is horrible!! Everytime I go there, they have new people working. I have some fertility issues over the last year so I've been in the office quite a bit, and they can't keep any of their employees. I feel like the people he hires are clueless about the medical profession, they dont value privacy at all either. Many times when im there and they go over your medical history, they just blurt out everything with the whole office to hear. They are just rude. DO NOT GO HERE. Rachel is amazing, don't get me wrong. However you have a 50% chance carfagno will be your delivering doctor. He's beyond arrogant, and you ALWAYS will be waiting 2 hrs to see him. He is known for pushing women into c sections if it's in the middle of the night and he doesn't want to be there. He bullies and makes you feel horrible during labor.
