I initially went to Dr. Canham for a second opinion. I expected it would be a relatively short visit, but instead he had reviewed all of my history prior to the appt (not during the appt like many Drs do), asked questions no one has asked me before, and took more time to talk with me about my concerns beyond a level than any of the other doctors I have seen previously. After only one visit with him and realizing how attentive, caring, and knowledgeable he is, I decided I did not just value his second opinion, but wanted to s... read more
Dr. Canham literally won my heart for life. When my stress test could not confirm that I did not have a blockage in the front bottom portion of my heart, Dr. Canham told me that he asked himself, 'what would I do if this was my mother or sister?' He sent me for a special CT of my heart. That test showed no blockage. It's been decades since I have seen a doctor with his level of expertise, skill, and bedside manner. I highly recommend him.
Dr Canham is honestly the single most patient and caring doctor I have ever been to in my entire life. Before I started writing this, I sat here thinking, and I actually couldn't remember any doctor - ever in my whole life - taking the time to sit and explain what's going on with me at anywhere near the level he did. He answered all my questions, and made sure I understood what no one else could explain to me over the last eight years. I can't say enough how amazing it feels to go from being confused and honestly scared abou... read more
Had an episode and he did some tests until he found the root cause. Explained my condition and choices of treatment in plain English.
Dr. Canham has an excellent bedside manner and takes the time to answer any questions you have. He doesn't rush you and explains everything well. He is kind and compassionate and truly cares about his patients.
Dr. Canham is awesome!
Both my wife and I went to Dr. Canham for heart issues. He put our family at ease with his explaining things to us in detail. He listened to us, and took time to make sure we understood and treated us like real people, with kindness and concern. There is something special about his way with people, and he seemed VERY smart. My PCP told me was one of the best heart doctors for Dallas and I think this is true. I VERY much recommend him. He is worth the wait. His staff was very nice too.
I have been to several different cardiologists, and Dr. Canham is very different, as he will take the time to explain things to me, and even called my son afterwards to go over everything again with my family! He certainly is busy, but that is a good sign that he is well liked. Would strongly recommend to anyone looking for the best.
I love dr. Canham he's friendly, optimistic, kind, a good teacher, Makes you feel like you're the most important person in the world and takes time to listen. I would not be alive today if he had not Saved My Life One Night in the ER when I arrested six times. He truly is my hero. You won't be able to find a better doctor in the whole world. Sue
