I’d like to sincerely thank Dr. Ross Kaplan, dermatologist at Coastal Dermatology in Camarillo, for the excellent care he provided. I consulted him about a deep facial skin cancer while I was also undergoing several heart procedures, so I was very concerned about the treatment options. I was diagnosed with Stage II Malignant Melanoma in 1983. Where Blue Cross/Blue Shield was concerned, I was one of the earlier patients insured for Mohs Micrographic Surgery. The previous reviewer's 1-star review of Dr. Kaplan and his office describes an experience that is completely contrary to my experiences. The office has always been extremely organized and professional. As for Dr. Kaplan, he is an absolute pleasure of a doctor with incredible knowledge, bedside ettiquette and is one of the most qualified doctors I have ever experienced. They cancelled my appointment without letting me know. I called to confirm my appointment in September and they told me they had to cancel it. When I saw doctor Kaplan in April he hardly gave me 5 minutes of his time. I drove an hour, waited over 30 minutes to be seen and I only got about 5 minutes of his time. Verry dissatisfied and will not be going back.
