Dr. Spamata was extremely helpful in explaining my TMJ symptoms and how to alleviate them. When it came to my wisdom teeth - scared and not thrilled - it was so easy. He made me so comfortable and the recovery was faster than expected. Glad I went to him!
I have taken all of my children to Dr Spampata. He has shown a level of compassion, care, and concern above and beyond expectations. My youngest was put completely at ease prior to surgery. Still, as some do react poorly to anesthesia, she fell apart afterwards. I was busy being embarrassed, yet Dr Spampata remained calm and made multiple visits to our cubicle reassuring my daughter and drying her tears. Dr Spampata has done extensive dental work on myself and my children. He has a great bedside manner and is both compassionate and knowlegeable in his field. I am in the medical profession and have referred many friends and family members to Dr Spampata.
This doctor should NOT work on children. Ever. Especially those who have never had novocaine or any kind of dental procedure before. He becomes annoyed when they get frightened and has no empathy or patience for their fears.
The doctor was unfriendly and brusque. He did not even introduce himself and I was a new patient. His instruments were on an uncovered tray out in the open. I felt that was unsanitary. He did not try to conceal the needle before he gave me the novacaine injection. I've never seen the needle before as other dentists and surgeons have been more careful not to freak me out.
