Dr. Strosaker, I received your letter today in reference to my coming to UH emergency concerning my frost bitten fingers. Your letter states that my hand was put in luke warm water for rewarming when in fact they were put in VERY hot water. The nurses and patients there heard my screaming and crying because of pain from the HOT water. My fingers tips are now amputated. I have no doubt that if time was taken with me by the staff, by introducing my hand to warm over time, amputation could have been avoided. I have no money for... read more
