To make the story short, first took months to see Dr. Mitchell. Then was scheduled for procedure tells me I have some inflammation & sends me home with acid reflux medicine. Return for a follow-up tells me stay away from hospital emergency room & dismissed me like if nothing. Mind you one of his nurse's called to say my polyps were malignant then I was told that was incorrect. The girls in the front are very nice. His nurse is professional and kind . He is an excellent doctor,very knowledgeable and kind. I had to wait a year to see him,but he is worth it. I will see him again in six months. My previous gastroenterologist performed and endoscopy on me and the result was 24/7 horrible nausea and neither she nor her staff seemed to care. Dr. Mitchell is wonderful. He has been my GI specialist for a number of years. His office is usually busy and setting up an appointment often takes up to months to be seen. With that being said, that is the common theme when trying to get seen by a fantastic specialist such as Dr. Mitchell. I’ve called with urgent matters and have had his nurse call me back the same day to squeeze me in within the same week. They do triage and prioritize their patients based on the severity of presenting symptoms.
Dr. Mitchell might be the best doctor in the world, unfortunately I never got to see him thanks to his staff. For whatever reason they have a supercilious gatekeeper at the front desk who is one of the most unpleasant people I have ever come in contact with. Literally. Due to her unwarranted stipulations I left, and you could not pay me to go back. As you can see by the reviews I'm not alone in my retrospection. Stay away unless you're Gandalf. Only his powers could defeat such a curmudgeon.
