My very first visit with Dr. Styperek at Harbin, he came off as uncaring and demeaning.. He has changed 180% to that first meeting. He takes time, listens and explains. His bedside manner has definitely changed since he went to Advent. He has shocked my heart back into rhythm 3x’s and performed an ablation for my afib. I will have another ablation for the flutter soon. I appreciate him and his work..

Dr. Styperek has messed up many people and made them worse than better, me being one of those patients.
Forever my life is ruined! I had an ablation for SVT and the procedure is low risk and after he said everything went well. I called and explained 2 weeks later that I was having fluttering in my chest. No one answered or even called me back after I called 4 times! I knew something was up! I went for a second opinion to find out in another EP study that Dr. Styperek completely destroyed my AV node and left my heart beating on an accessory pathway that was dangerous. I now am dependant on a pacemaker for the rest of my life an... read more
Very little wait time. Staff professional and polite. Doctor friendly and informative. Answered our questions. Very personable. Would highly recommend.
I cannot understand why this doctor is still practicing...He was not in the room when my procedure began. I know because the guy that wheeled me into the procedure room made the incision in my groin before I was sedated. I yelled for him to stop and he said, “Aren’t you asleep",.. said, NOO...I was then sedated. I NEVER saw the doctor...before, during nor after the procedure. He came by the next day to dismiss me and never checked my heart even though I told him my chest hurt.
I did not see this doctor the day of the surgery nor did I see him afterwards. I was put in ICU around 2:20 PM and did not see him until dismissal the next day. When asked how I was doing, I told him my chest hurt and I was concerned about the hematoma in my groin. He waved his hand, said I would be fine and left the room. He never came near the bed. I had an ablation for AFIB. I have been in our local hospital 3 times with severe chest pains...diagnosed with pericarditis.
Dr. Styperek and staff were very compassionate, and provided great care
After replacing my dad's pacemaker, my dad began to experience extreme shoulder pain. I took him back to Dr. Styperek. He was extremely rude to both my dad and myself. He acted very uncaring and as if we were really a hinderance. He did not attempt to address our concerns . He only could say it was nothing he did. I asked about a news story I'd seen on pacemaker recalls and he thought I didn't understand the meaning of a recall and informed me I watched too much "fake Fox News". Rude & arrogant!
Styperek was rude and responded with sarcasm. He seemed knowledgeable but was too concerned with being critical and failed to listen attentively. Will be looking for a different surgeon.
