Thorough, kind and conscientious. A true doctor in a time of profit-driven medicine. Dr. Mathis is knowledgable about the intricacies and nuances of the endocrine system, nutrition, hormone balance, and the impact of stress and the environment on health. He is informed, down to the cellular level, and always working to discover and integrate the best in the practices of wellness. I am very grateful I found him, and two of my closest friends have benefitted from his work and wisdom as well.
Dr. Mathis is a good problem solver. He patiently listens to your health situation and follows through until you get what you need, including medical tests, referrals, supplements and prescriptions if needed. Resolving your health issues is his number one priority!
My finance and I were recommended to Dr. Bob Mathis by a prominent Santa Barbara and UCLA Fellow specialty physician about 10 years ago. I have been a patient of his for over a decade...he manages my Thyroid, Cholesterol/Cardiac and Hormones. I am amazed at how much knowledge he possesses. When as issue arises, he finds the answers. Dr. Bob is warm, caring and truly goes the extra mile for his patients. I have referred many to his practice. My experience with Dr. Mathis has been nothing short of miraculous. I have been dealing with Graves Disease and chronic fatigue for many years. I have worked with endocrinologists at Stanford and in LA, but Dr. Mathis was the first to provide real relief. He is a true 'integrative medicine' practitioner in the best sense, i.e. working with the body as a whole. The breadth and depth of his knowledge and experience stands in stark contrast to the tunnel vision one so often finds in other specialists.
