He explains everything before he does it, he's very kind and always pleasant, and gets the job done. He has gotten rid of my headaches, and if they come back I just make another appt.

Dr. Robert Spear is probably one of the best physicians I have ever encountered. He is an excellent pain mgmt doctor but & 'superior' & physician in general. I cannot say enough about Dr. Spear's knowledge. I had an issue after a fall that I inquired about with other doctors in various fields who totally thought i was a little 'off' which basically masked just not knowing. After explaining the problem to Dr. Spear, he immediately knew what the problem was. What a relief that was in many way

I was refereed to Dr Spear from my neurosurgeon. He placed a rod on L3,L4,L5, enlarged spinal canal, 2 artificial discs, and bone grafts. I and 1/2 years later and after a double knee replacement my back was aching in the L2, L3 region. Dr Spear performed nerve bock on both sides of L2 and then the painful side of L3. Dr Spear was courteous and explained the procedure in full detail. He talked me through each procedure and helped me regain my exercise routine. I will see him again if needed.

He came in pokes around at me a bit until I went ow! Then immediately wanted to stick a needle in my lower spine.... No.. Then when I refused that he sent me straight to physical therapy. I'm healthy for the most part and work out. I do not need physical therapy and certainly do not want to take up some nurses time doing that or taking another patients spot who actually needs it. Refused to manage pain which is the whole point of going to a pain management Doctor ? The needle or the chair doc!!

I came to see Dr. Spears with low back pain. Although I'm not a doctor, I do have a medical background and read up on the condition. It became immediately clear during this appointment that Dr Spears lacks basic fund of knowledge and rambled on about conditions that bordered on gibberish. He becomes irritated with questions because I believe he does not know the answers. This insecurity cause me to seek out another one of his partners who is fabulous. In closing, I would say beware... voodoo
