I had double knee replacements. I would highly recommend Dr. Hagen. Very professional and competent.
Had hip replacement 4 years ago. Dr Hagen brushed me off and referred me to pain mgmt, chiropractors within first 12 weeks of failed therapy and even spine dr. Several procedures later including back surgery to fix my hip pain and painful, awkward gait I went to ortho in Indianapolis. It was a total mess on verge of dislocating. Had to have total revision. I am about 65-70% improved but will live with hip and back pain forever.
Dr. Hagen replaced my left hip 3 times and I'm still having trouble. The first replacement drained for nine months. When I asked why, he fat shamed me as the reason for the drainage. After the third replacement, I found out that the original problem with healing was back and it was Mersa. Mersa was allowed to eat my bone tissue and I had extensive nerve damage which resulted in months of taking Gabapentin. I have some nerve loss but better. My third has resulted in a split incision a year later.
Dr. Hagen did my knee replacement surgery. I cannot say enough about his skill, his bedside manner and his office staff. Very well run. I never waited for an appointment; he always saw me on time. Always took all the time that was needed to answer my questions, as did his nurse, Jean. It will be a huge loss to this community when he decides to retire.
Dr.Hagen repaired both my ACLs. I was back to full function in 3 weeks.
Dr. Hagen, is a wonderful caring and understanding Doctor. He did a marvelous surgery on my knee replacement. If I have any kind of issue he makes time to see me. Will be checking in with him for a heel problem I have now. I know he will give me the best advice and how to handle my problem. He listens to my problem and we make a decision together.
He showed extreme interest in caring for complications unrelated to his surgery
