I'm not one that is fond of Drs. Definitely don't trust many, but Dr Shin is a great physician. He has done 4 of my surgeries and I haven't had complications from any of them. He listens, he's caring and kind. He provided lots of useful, helpful information, and explained things well to me. He provided the best care for me each and every visit. His staff on the other hand isn't so great. They aren't the friendliest, don't like to answer phones, and doesn't provide the best care or help to their patients. His staff could use ... read more
When I would ask him a question just laughed
I started the process in January and had my surgery June 22nd. I did everything I was supposed to and the process was very smooth to a degree. Any time I needed to speak with someone at the office, it’s been impossible. I’m currently 5 days post op and have some questions and his office staff absolutely refuses to answer the phone. It’s always like this. I leave several voicemails and 90% of the time I hear nothing back. They also drag the process on. I don’t know if he was having a bad day but he almost killed me doing the gastric sleeve surgery. I ended up staying in the hospital 267 days in a row and most of that was in the ICU. Here it is almost 2 years later and I am unable to walk or take care of myself, all due to the surgery he performed on me. I was transferred to Cleveland Clinic in Ohio and they saved my life. Patient of Dr Shin over 16 years. He recently did reconstructive gastric bypass surgery 6 months ago. Awesome dr and care. Highest reviews and recommendations even after being with him over 16 years.
Dr Shin performed my VSG. Could not have had a better Dr or aftercare!
Dr. Shin is great. His office is not. After over a week of messages concerning complications and no call back- I switched doctors. If I am having issues, I need a doctors office that answers the phone and messages. I know others who have left since 2017 for the same reason. I hope Dr. Shin sees this because he is good- but a doctors success also depends on his staff.
I HAD MY SURGERY ON NOVEMBER 5, 2018. DR, SHIN AND ALL OF HIS STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND INFORMATIVE. I WAS ALWAYS TREATED WELL. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.
