I just called to try to set up an appointment as a new patient, as your website says, ' accepting new patients'. Receptionist just kept saying, 'we dont accept walk ins!' I had to point out that i was calling to schedule, not walking in. Same response, we dont accept walk ins, Clearly, they do not want my business. wow . i hung up
Excellent doctor, very caring and knowledgeable. Yes, sometimes you have to wait but that is because she takes her time with your concerns. The best is worth waiting. Fast is not better.
Terrible
I was a patient at Max Health under Dr. Saguna for a period of time and ultimately chose to seek care elsewhere due to ongoing concerns. Annual wellness visits were ineffective, as blood work was scheduled afterward, leaving no opportunity to review results during the appointment.I also found it unnecessarily difficult to obtain routine preventive screenings, such as a PSA test, despite clinical guidelines recommending them. Dr. Kona is amazing and patient. Unfortunately, she now only works with elderly patients. I found the nurse practitioner in her office to have very little patience for myself. Having debilitating chronic illnesses, I was often subjected to her lack of patience. I miss doctor Kona!
I am a Mayo Clinic patient and see Dr. Kona locally. I have experienced the absolute best care available at Mayo and Dr. Kona is right there with them. Takes the necessary time. Never in a rush. Prior to Mayo I never knew what great care was all about and had seen several other doctors that were at best, sub-par in my experience. Ironically after Mayo my wife was recommenced to Dr. Kona by a friend. She saw the Doc and insisted that I see her as well. She felt that her experience with Dr. Kona was just the best. WOW! I was checking on my upcoming appointment with Dr. Kona and saw some bad reviews. I am startled as I have been seeing Dr. Kona since I have been on Medicare. She even attended the Medicare seminar that I did. When I had an ongoing issue she started communicating with me by texts. Ongoing and more than I would have ever expected from any Dr. My wellness check is Monday and as far as I am concerned I get the Dr’s full attention and know that much of what she does is guided by Medicare.
