Dr. Bhatia prescribed a medication which is actaully contraindicated for my POTS. Since my consult with her, I've had two other physicians (one of them is also a JH provider) tell me to NEVER take what she prescribed, as this medication would actually cause my symptoms to worsen! While she may have academic knowledge, she is unable to apply it clinically! I will not be following up with this doctor.
I have truly found a gem in Dr. Rinky Bhatia. Personally, I have seen many cardiologists who either push off symptoms or don’t care enough to investigate further. From the first visit with Dr. Bhatia, I knew things would be different this time. She ordered up the one test that needed to be done but nobody would order because of my age and having one previously: An MRI. The MRI was very telling! A very competent and caring cardiologist belonging to the John's Hopkins Hospital. Her support staff in the Columbia office is friendly and efficient. Plenty of parking that is highly handicapped friendly.
Dr Bhatia has been my doctor for about 4 years and I really like and trust her she is very knowledgeable and caring she is the best !
