First time meeting this doctor, took my minor daughter for a check up. After a pleasant,detailed meeting w/ a resident physician, Dr Himelstein came into the room to continue the appointment and TOLD me to leave the room during the exam. I asked my daughter if SHE was comfortable with that and with her ok,I left. Returned about 15 min later and knocked on the door. Dr. Himelstein always stresses how important it is to take my birth control pill at the same time each day, but the only times I’ve been late is waiting DAYS for her to refill it. It has happened at least a dozen times. A doctor’s job is to care about his/her patients and do everything in their power to provide them with quality care. If I can’t even rely on this doctor to refill a simple birth control prescription, how can I rely on her for the rest of me feminine health?
Dr.Himelstein took her time explaining my daughter's unique situation. She is very friendly and made my daughter feel comfortable immediately. Her staff are courteous and knowledgeable. We left her office with a solid plan and she answered all of our questions. We didn't feel rushed or dismissed. Dr.Himelstein is awesome, I highly recommend her expertise.
