Richard Bergstrom, endocrinologist, at Providence St. Vincent's Hospital, is affable, patient oriented, and unrushed. I've been his patient for more than 20 years and always happy in my consultations with him. In fact, he gives a more thorough physical exam, and asks more pertinent questions, than most PCPs and other specialists -- a knowledgeable and likable guy who doesn't believe himself to be omniscient. Highly recommended.
Provided a list of symptoms. He focused on my previously diagnosed hypogonadism instead of the symptoms, took me off testosterone completely and 2 months later the same symptoms I presented to him never went away and are actually now much worse. Likely, at least partially, due to low testosterone. The care plan after appt. was chicken scratch on my blood lab documents, nothing else. My GP was going to send me back and I said no way.
