He is very condescending and was ruder to me than any other doc I have come across in my lifetime. He was the only neurologist that didn’t have a long wait. He makes it pretty obvious from the beginning that he’s not a fan of people.

My husband had a stroke, we saw a tele-neurologist in the hospital, who gave a diagnosis, but his explanation was so overly simplistic that we wanted to have an actual doctor check him. We loved Dr. Tyer! He is no nonsense, spoke to us like we were intelligent beings, yet gave analogies easily understood.

I have used Dr. Tyer since he moved his practice to Tyler, TX. He is a very gentle doctor and compassionate along with his staff. I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Tyer has been with me a long time, seen me tied to a hospital out of my mind, to where i'am today, i still have seizures, not as many , and a lot less severe than before. I, still have balance problems, and memory problems,, we are working on that, i, would recommend Dr. Tyer to anyone who needs nero help. The staff is friendly, he always listens to what ever is on my mind, very good Doctor, Person.

Dr. Tyer was condescending and arrogant. He could not be bothered to actually listen to what I was saying. He was too busy making assumptions. He spent more time trying to prove that he was right and I was clearly wrong about my own symptoms to bother with professionalism. The tests he ordered to show how right right he was, proved my request for a new doctor was justified. He was wrong. He is pompous, dismissive, and rude. But the worst is, he lacks empathy and kindness for his patients.

I fee.l I was treated horribly by Dr. Tyer. I saw him after months of chronic migraines and was prescribed two medications which after 3 days of use I was having serious side effects. Info from the pharmacy indicated that if this occurred to contact the medical professional which I did. The staff acted as if my phone call was an insult. After spending $280 on the appointment and medication I was told to find another doctor. I am going to file a grievance with the Texas Licensing Board.
