I scheduled an appointment for March 21, 2025, through Zocdoc, as the website indicated that Dr. Teter accepts my health insurance (Empire BlueCross BlueShield). However, when I arrived for my appointment, the representative informed me that although Zocdoc allowed me to book, Dr. Teter does not accept my insurance since it is Medicaid. I was given the option to pay out of pocket, but the cost was $600. Waited over 1 hour and 20 minutes and then finally had to leave. No apologies, nothing. Also, while I was waiting in an exam room, a different podiatrist came in to clean off another patient's old orthotic insole with some strong smelling chemicals, and then a nurse came in to do the same with the other insole. Just like a foot or two from the exam table where I was sitting. I felt like I was sitting in a janitor's closet.
