Dr. Konsens operated on my husband's right knee for a tendor tear after taking a fall off a ladder at work. He put our minds at ease and talked us through every aspect of the surgery and what we can expect. He and his staff at his office for all the pre and post op appointments as well as at the hospital the day of surgery were extremely communicative, caring and professional. I thought this doctor was insensitive and a non listner on my visit to discuss an MRI . short and rude were more to the point . Rather then say i cannot help but know someone hear you can talk with he just flat out stated I dont know a way to advise you . have a nice day wanting to sell me a knee job
How many doctors have you had who would call every night after surgery to check on you? How many have given you their personal cell and email address? I firmly believe you get from a doctor the relationship you want only when you are open, honest, listening, and considerate of his/her point of view and perspective as that of a science-based thinking and filtering process. Many visits with Dr. Konsens over the years, including arthroscopic surgery on one knee and two knee replacements. I found him to be an outstanding surgeon and a good man.
Awful bedside manner, refuses to answer questions and makes you feel dumb and unimportant to him, rushes you in and out of your appointments, setting appointments takes forever, all around very unpleasant man and experience.
simply terrible doctor
Came in to see about hip pain. He didn’t listen to me when I explained to him I was already diagnosed with a condition. Told me there’s nothing wrong with hips. Prescribed me an arthritis medicine (I’m 25 and don’t have arthritis) and have me a paper of ab exercises. I was told to plan for an hour appt and it ended up being 20 minutes
I was treated like a number instead of a patient. Tried to tell him the full story of how my pain started and wouldn't even listen. Didn't diagnose me at all just told me I have an "ache" when it's definitely more than that. Didn't care at all. One of the worst doctors I've ever had.
Dr. Konsens has performed two knee surgery’s for me, one on each knee. The first was arthroscopic for general clean-up and the second was due to a traumatic injury. He did a fantastic job with both of them. My scars are limited and my rehab has gone as well as I would have hoped, both I attribute to the work performed while on the table. The best part were the photos I got of the actual procedure…very descriptive! I will continue to use him for any future orthopaedic procedures that may arise.
