I'm sharing this out of a sincere desire to prevent the same happening to others. Dr Evans examined my dilated eyes and I filled the prescription. I asked for a recheck because was having trouble, he did and I had my glasses remade. Within 6 months I was still having trouble so decided to get contacts. Went to a different doctor and found out I have a level 4 (highest) cataract in one eye and a level 2 in the other. Had I not gone to get contacts I wouldn't have known this for a few years. Old timer type of doctor. Very compassionate, thoughtful, patient and caring. He listens and gives you ample time. He is very thorough and explains your condition to you in a manner that is very understandable to you and in a humorous way to calm and not overwhelm. He is an outstanding ophtomologist. At the end of the appointment, he walks with you to the front office to explain to the clerk what he wants done for you, whether it is a follow-up appointment or additional testing.
