Dr. Lawson performed a closed reduction on my son's wrist and saved him from undergoing surgery. While two other orthopedic doctors had recommended surgery, Dr. Lawson was confident in a non-surgical approach; and he was right. I am incredibly grateful for his expertise and judgment. I was making the bed when I jammed my middle finger against the bed and the first joint was bent sidewards. Splinting didn’t help it heal and I was referred to Dr Lawson. He fused the joint inserting a pin. It healed quickly and I can type, write and sew with fine motor skills. I cannot recommend Dr Lawson highly enough. He is a lovely man and a great doctor.
Dr Lawson has been amazing throughout my journey with him. I crushed my finger at work and went to the local hospital who told me to splint it and 4-6 weeks later it would be all good.. that was not the case, I could not bend the tip of my finger at all. I flew to Sydney to see Dr Lawson and after an initial consult I went in for surgery the next day to have a k wire installed hoping the 2 joints would stay in position. I was referred to Dr Lawson from another orthopedic surgeon that was unable to get to the root cause of my pain. Dr Lawson spent time with me reviewing my MRI and identified the issues within my arm / elbow area. He completed a successful decompression, and I am finally able to return to my usual activities pain free. Highly recommend Dr Lawson and his team. Never experienced any issue and very professional. Had a great experience with Dr Lawson. He was very friendly and explained things very clearly. I fractured my pinky PIP joint 4 months ago and I still have limited movement (I did not see him back then). He has given me a couple of targeted exercises recording them for me so I don’t forget and I should be good in a couple of weeks. Ok, so not a big problem, but he was lovely to deal with.
