The staff are not at all friendly. And downright cruel in some cases.
I had my wisdoms removed and was slightly scared of being put out the nurse then told me I didn’t have to be if I didn’t want to. The doctor then told me if I didn’t want to do it “I couldn’t come back”. I was just having anxieties! I tried to explain no matter what I would do it, but I was just scared. While pulling my teeth he complained about his job and said he was " going to put his license in a box crap on it and send it back to the board.(he didn't say crap but it won't let me use the word he used. He made me fear for my safety for no reason.
I am absolutely terrified of any dentist, but Dr. Schoonmaker and his staff let me know that I was in very capable hands. I had to have all of my teeth pulled for dentures yesterday and the pain today is almost nonexistent. I attribute that to Dr. Schoonmaker's skills as an oral surgeon. I would go back to him un a heartbeat and I highly recommend his practice.
I can't say enough good things about this practice.I have dental anxiety and was terrified to say the least.During the consult Dr.Schoonmaker was informative,professional and very kind. He answered my questions and prepared me for the next steps in treatment. Three days before my surgery his office called and moved my appointment time by a hour(the Dr. had a meeting)so I wouldn't have to sit and wait.I thought this was very thoughtful and showed my time is also valuable to them.
