The wait for an appointment is reasonable and there is not a long wait at the pain clinic. Dr M actually returns your calls reliably at the end of the day. He does not show impatience as you describe the problem. He is open to suggestions.
Dr. Messinger is one of the few doctors that calls you back and cares about the pain that you are in. He listens carefully and follows up - quite a rarity in the medical field these days. I cannot say enough positive things about him.
Yes, I would highly recommend Dr. Messinger in a heartbeat! I am so impressed with my entire first visit with him. He was on top of my situation before he entered the room. He offered complete and understandable treatment options and his first choice recommendation. He performed an epidural steroid injection at the same visit which was a total surprise to me. He had wonderful bedside manner during the procedure. You'd be hard-pressed to find another doctor with so many excellent qualities.
Dr Messinger takes the time to hear what his patients are saying to him. He is kind and compassionate and treats his patients with respect and dignity.
Dr Messinger a very good pain management Dr. I would recommend him to everyone that is having chronic pain . Went there for injections in my neck my second app. He new right away that I was having muscle spasms in my neck one shot and the next day no pain in my neck. Highly recommend.
He listens. Explains in detail what your concerns require. Very careful to keep areas clean and antiseptic. Very pleasant manner.
I was in severe pain and could get no relief. Dr. Messinger suspected I had a herniated disk and ordered an MRI. When I went to UVA emergency the second time, I told them Dr. M had ordered an MRI so UVA did one that night. Dr. Messinger was right and I had a severe herniated disk. I was then referred to a surgeon who removed it and now I am fine. Without his help it would have taken much longer to get someone to do something. Dr. M is very compassionate and listens to you. I love him!
Dr. Messinger explains your condition and treatment options clearly. He has a friendly, caring manner and is professional in every respect.
He is caring and gentle and takes the time to talk to you about what is causing your pain. all in an eas, understanding manner. I also love that he gives you options of treatment and includes you in the decision process of your treatment. he is skilled in the administration of injections under guided X-ray and constantly checks on your comfort level. I trust him explicitly and highly recommend him!
