I was extremely disappointed with my experience with Shady Grove. I thought they had earned all the hype. Perhaps I was very unlucky with my assignment. Dr Yazigi rushed through our discussions, explained things poorly, gave me no diagnosis nor suggested any treatment (other than IVF). The nurse I was assigned with was also awful. Bernie. Awful. Dr. Yazigi is excellent. He supported us during the process, being available to solve our concerns. His team was also wonderful and we're now proud parents of a cute baby girl. Thanks!
Dr. Yazigi was helpful. I'm obese and have PCOS. He was straight with me and I worked to reach my weight loss goal. He took care of the rest. He most certainly will not hold your hand but that's ok. He had a job to do and he did it. His nurse Natalie and the office staff that helped me we're all wonderful and warm. I now have a beautiful 2 month old baby boy! He's a very good doctor and that's all that matters he knows his stuff.
The staff is great! Dr. Yazigi was helpful explaining the ivf process but sometimes seemed a little rushed. Overall great experience
Very pleased with our experience with Dr. Yazigi. Although he does not sugar coat things, he does not beat around the bush either. He is there to diagnose and treat and that's what we found he did in a timely manner.

The staff is excellent. Similarly to others, Dr. Yazigi is not overtly warm/fuzzy, but he is knowledgeable, kind, and open to questions. If you want emotional support, join a help group or talk to your family, the job of the doctor is to treat you.
I'm within my first treatment cycle with Dr. Yazigi at Shady Grove in Towson. So far so good. I will agree with some of the other reviews that spoke on his "matter of fact" like personality and that you speak mostly with your nurse. My nurse was Stephanie and she answered all the questions the doctor seemingly didn't have time to answer. Even though he was nice and very encouraging our appointments always went so fast I didn't have time to think of questions until it was time to speak with the nurse.
I think that when you are dealing with a narrow specialist, such as Dr. Yazigi, you often lose the warm touch that someone like a family doctor possesses. I was warned about this. While I would not describe Dr. Yazigi as warm or nurturing, I would say that he is kind, but very matter of fact. He will listen to your complicated history, take notes, and then simply say, "ok, here's what we are going to do."
