Dr. Ghohestani is an excellent dermatologist, most decorated one that I found In San Antonio with so many awards which is impressive. He is extremely thorough, careful and caring. He informed me of all the treatment options, made a recommendation and explained it. I got a follow up call to make sure I am ok! As a U Penn Graduate, I totally trust him for treating my skin cancer, having caught an early stage skin cancer on my face and pre-cancerous moles on my back. I highly recommend him. About a month ago I was able to get a last minute appointment with the doctor which I was greatly thankful for. It isn't to my surprise now why I was able to do so. First of all the office staff is great. The woman who made my appointment was friendly and quick with getting me processed as a new patient and Into a room. Dr.Ghohestani was very knowledgeable regarding my problem. I was impressed by his extensive training at top US programs, university of Pennsylvania and head of UT for which I chose him. I felt like had his undivided attention for my hair loss and he seemed genuinely interested in solving my skin and hair problems. Found him through friends. My acne got finally better after seeing dr ghohestani. he explained me for first time (after seeing so many dermatologist) about avoiding sweet diet and make up. He has an impressive Derm training in top US schools.
Worst doctor in the world! Sloppy, poor bed manners. Refused to hands us a written prescription and promised to send it electronically to our pharmacy. He never did. Try reaching him after hours, you only get an answering machine. His staff got back to us 3 days later! They never apologized and argued they sent the prescription to the wrong pharmacy! not worth it.. waited for 1hr, even though the waiting area was empty..was about to leave before his assistant came in (no apologies) and asked questions, then left papers to fill out, the same questionnaire assistant already asked previously (why not give the paperwork at first place, when i entered the office?).. disappointed with dr as well, again no apologies for making me wait 1hr, not friendly at all, seemed arrogant, fee is high, doesnt deserve, wont come back and recommend to anyone.
I highly recommend Texas Institute of Dermatology! Dr. Reza Ghohestani and staff are knowledgeable, and genuinely care about me :) For a long time, I feared going to see a dermatologist until I moved to San Antonio. I was putting it off, all the while my fears and stress continued to increase. found the help I needed. Thank you Dr Ghohestani indeed!
