She was clear, compassionate, and effective.
Just HORRIBLE. She doesn’t listen or collaborate to fit your your needs. I lost very little weight over a LONG period of time. Now with my new doctor it’s 180 degrees. I’m losing the weight much better. Don’t waste your time. Go to someone else.
Dr Umashanker has been my doctor for almost 25 years. She is an exceptional gastroenterologist and I HIGHLY recommend her. My husband and many family members are now patients also.
my wife Sharon had an appointment today with you at 8:30 am when she arrived there were no parking spaces in handicap available she had to drive and a space the furthest from the building.. as you know you office pretty far from the elevator . By the time she got to you office it was 8:45 she was told could be seen and have to make another appointment . Dr. Umashanker went above and beyond her specialty to direct me toward an important diagnosis. I will be forever grateful. Through regular colonoscopies and GI illnesses, I am impressed w her positive and effective communication, her accurate diagnoses, her pleasant and caring demeanor and her interest in my general health. I highly recommend Dr Umashanker.

I have recommended Dr. Umashanker to many friends as my experience with her and her staff was excellent as was the experience of several friends, some of whom had problems that were quite serious (unlike mine which consisted of need for colonoscopy and having some questions answered). I am a nurse with an advanced degree (if that makes me a better judge) and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a Gastroenterologist.
I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Umashankar. I have found her to be caring, understanding and very knowledgeable. Dr. Umashankar has a confident and calming manner.
Before, during, and after my colonoscopy, Dr. Umashankar was friendly yet professional, caring and compassionate, and clear in her explanations and instructions to me.
