Rivas is capable of giving flu shots. He likes to do them. Maybe he gets paid a bonus. But if you actually need a medical diagnosis, he can't be recommended. He'll go down the wrong track scheduling for imaging and testing that go nowhere. And if you, as the humble patient, recommend something different, he makes it clear that he's the doctor and you're not. He doesn't listen and his follow-up is non-existent (You have to call him and it will take him days to get back to you.) He's a clock watcher.
Excellent! Dr. Rivas is a great listener. Calming, comforting, realistic.
I was struggling with my old primary care physician and did some research to find a new physician. I have since been seeing Dr. Rivas for a little over two years. He doesn't keep me waiting, listens to my input and we worked together to develop a plan of treatment. I have since restarted doing annual checkups knowing that it will be a better experience.
